Rose Darin, a volunteer at the Wyandotte Animal Pound, introduces us to Reyna and Trudy the cats: Reyna is a young orange and white tabby. She is a very shy cat who was born outside. She will need a quiet home that will give her the time she needs to feel safe and loved. She was brought in with her sister who has been pulled to a rescue, and she is in a community cage with another cat that she loves, so she should do well in a house with other cats. Cathy McCormick, a volunteer with Shelter to Home, introduces us to Dottie the dog and Tori the cat: Dottie is a young, adult mixed breed dog who is quite the character. She is loving, very animated and energetic and leaves an impression on all. Dottie is good with other dogs, loves people and would be good with children. Because she has an almost relentless need to play with cats, it would be best if her future home did not have cats. She is being crate-trained during the day as she is not fully housebroken; her future home must understand this and be willing to continue to work with her. Toronado is a gentle, but playful, cat who likes to sit in the front of his cage and people watch. He is a very loving cat and will keep you company by napping in your lap or curling up next to you at night. He loves to be with people. Each week, Wyandotte Patch features adoptable pets from Wyandotte. Emily Solomchuck, a volunteer at WAG Animal Rescue, introduces us to Mongo the dog and Honey the cat: Mongo is an American Bulldog mix. We think he is about 1 year old and he weighs about 55 pounds. He was rescued from an animal shelter where he came in as a stray in early December. Mongo is very friendly with both people and other dogs. He loves to run and romp, and rides well in a car. He is curious about cats, but has made no aggressive moves towards them. Mongo is very strong and will require training. Rose Darin, a volunteer at the Wyandotte Animal Pound, introduces us to Jingle the dog and Jewel the cat: Jingle is an adult American Bulldog/Pit Bull Terrier mix. She passed her temperament test with all A's. She's a very affectionate dog and was good with the other dogs being temperament tested. She is quoted as being "a very sweet girl' by Downriver Dogs Obedience Training. All of our the volunteers just love her! Jingle came in with a moderate, non-contagious skin infection due to neglect and is in the midst of treatment now. She will be available to go home shortly. She will be spayed, up to date on routine shots and rabies and tested for heartworm prior to adoption. …
