Red Cross Helps Children Avoid Flu in 3 Easy Steps
A flu outbreak is being reported in 47 of the 50 states and children have been hit particularly hard, according to the American Red Cross.
Influenza outbreaks have been reported by health officials in 47 of the 50 states, according to a release from the American Red Cross. "One age group hit particularly hard is children," the release said. "Some children have gotten so sick they have had to be hospitalized. According to the Centers for Disease Control, while some of the children hospitalized had underlying medical conditions such as asthma, more than 40 percent of hospitalized children had no other medical conditions."
