Hello, there! My name is Alyssa Webb. I'm a journalism graduate from Univeristy of Michigan-Dearborn and am currently working on my Master's in Communication and New Media at Wayne State University. When I was an undergrad I worked as the Features Editor for our school paper, and also interned at Hour Detroit. I loved everything about Hour and it truly helped me come into my own as a journalist. I have a spunky personality and a fun outlook on life and like to reflect that as much as possible in my writing. I love writing about local businesses, nightlife, and the arts.
As far as the personal tidbits: I'm a bit of a dork. I love comic books, reading everything I can get my hands on, the History Channel and anything on National Geographic. I'm a huge hockey fan, an even bigger Wings fan and probably the biggest Valtteri Filppula fan to walk the wonderful streets of Detroit. I'm currently on a mission to master piano but sort of failing miserably.
I'm so excited to be a part of such a revolutionary type of media. Patch is a perfect fit for me and I am happy to bring you all of stories that you would like to read!
