A Guide to the 2012 Wyandotte Street Art Fair

Here are the highlights of what you need to know to enjoy the 51st annual fair, taking place July 11-14.

Summer is in full swing with the arrival of the 51st annual Wyandotte Street Art Fair.

The art fair runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday on Biddle, between Eureka and Oak streets. The riverfront entertainment area on Elm Street runs until 11:30 p.m. nightly.

Parking

Five paid parking lots are open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Volunteers from area groups staff each lot, raising money for their various causes.

There are 300 paid parking spaces available. A free shuttle will leave every 10 minutes and will drop people off at the intersection of Eureka and Biddle.

Artists

Crafters

The second annual Clock Tower Crafters Show will take place during fair hours on First Street between Maple and Elm. Check out the directory for a complete list of all crafters.

Live Green Fair

New this year, the Live Green Fair will feature healthy and ecologically sound living. A stage showcasing live acoustic music, booths highlighting earth friendly products and services, beer tent and food concessions with vegetarian/healthy foods. The fair will take place during fair hours in the parking lots between Maple and Sycamore.

Free concerts will rock the riverfront area off Elm Street day and night throughout the four-day fair. Here's the lineup:

Beer Tent

The beer tent is located near the entertainment stage, on the riverfront between Elm and Oak streets. The Wyandotte Jaycees run the tent.

Booth 1 (between Oak and Elm streets)

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish is running the booth Wednesday and Thursday. Wyandotte Kiwanis Sunrise is operating it on Friday and Saturday.

Booth 2 (between Oak and Elm streets)
Wyandotte Figure Skating Club is running the booth Wednesday and Thursday. Wyandotte Synchro Team is operating it on Friday and Saturday.

Booth 3 (on Biddle near Maple)
Blessings in a Backpack is running the booth Wednesday and Thursday. Wyandotte Braves Baseball is operating it on Friday and Saturday.

Booth 4 (between Maple and Sycamore streets)
Wyandotte Lions Club is running the booth Wednesday and Thursday. Wyandotte Music Boosters is operating it on Friday and Saturday.

Booth 5 (between Sycamore and Eureka)
Wyandotte Kiwanis 1000 is running the booth Wednesday and Thursday. Komaki Exchange Program is operating it on Friday and Saturday.
