New Restaurant Now Open, Extinguishing Hunger in Wyandotte

Employees at Axe n Ladder Deli felt the heat Wednesday and Thursday as sandwich lovers filled the new restaurant in Wyandotte.

Sandwich lovers in Wyandotte from city employees to local businessmen have already made the Axe n Ladder Deli their new lunch spot.

The deli, 3203 Biddle, had a soft opening on Wednesday and Thursday to give employees a chance to hone their skills, according to owner and Wyandotte resident Ted Copely.

The official grand opening is set for 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Mayor Joseph Peterson will be on hand for a ribbon cutting ceremony. Copley said patrons can enjoy bag pipe music during the ceremony.

Firefighters, police officers and active military can enjoy a 10 percent discount every day.

Axe n Ladder Deli is open from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and closed Sunday.
